ISTE Students' Chapter

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations.

DRIEMS POLYTECHNIC has obtained Institutional membership (IM-963) by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) from 2003.The polytechnic has got Faculty chapter (OR-41) where many teachers have enrolled themselves.

The polytechnic has also got Student chapter (OR-20) where many students took the membership of ISTE for 3years and participate in different programs conducting by ISTE in all India level.

Best Student Award got by ISTE on 31st August 2019 at GEC College, Bhubaneswar

ISTE Student Chapter of DRIEMS Polytechnic Organised an online Webinar "Renewable Energy Technology & Application (RETA-2021)" on Dtd. 27th February 2021 at Seminar Hall.

This Student chapter was inaugurated by the Esteemed Prof. Tapaswini Sahoo, Principal, DRIEMS Polytechnic in the august presence of Prof. Lokanath Behera, Director, DRIEMS Polytechnic, Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Pravat Ku. Parhi, Chairman, ISTE Odisha Section, Guest of Honor Prof. (Dr.) Khirod Ku. Rout, Secretary, ISTE Odisha Section, Guest of Honor Prof. (Dr.) Manas Ranjan Senapati, Executive Member ISTE Odisha Section, Prof. Kaibalya Prasad Panda, Chief Speaker, NIT Meghalaya, Er. K.B.Sahoo, ISTE Cordinator, All Committee Members of ISTE Chapters and all the Student members of ISTE Society.

Annual Society Competition "ISTE Talent Zone – 2020-21"

ISTE Society of DRIEMS Polytechnic Organised an Annual Society competition "ISTE TALENT ZONE 2020-21" under ISTE Student Chapter virtually from 13th August to 16th August 2021,where maximum numbers of society members were participated in different events like Technical Debate, technical Poster presentation & Technical quiz competition to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit.

The event was successful enough to attract all society members, where more than 40 students member attended for a three dayscompetition.

There are three jury teamsalso made for judging winners for respective competitions.

At the end of competition, Er. Tamasatatinisutar, Asst.Prof announced the name of the winners with the august presence of esteemed Director Sir and Principal Madam, Society Coordinator, all Hods, Society members & all students. Then distributed Certificates to all the winners virtually.

For concluding online meeting, vote of thanks was given by Er. Dipika Jena, She expressed gratitude to all the delegates and students for making the prize ceremony a grand success.A memorable day came to an end with great joy.

Heartiest Congratulations to our young achievers, for winning different events of ISTE Competition like Technical Debate, Technical Project/Model & Poster presentationconducted in 22nd Odisha State Level ISTE Student Convention heldon 29th & 30th April 2022 at SVSET, Bhubaneswar.

The College Management, Director, Principal, All Hods, ISTE Co-ordinator, Staff and Students have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all participants towards this achievement.

ANNUAL SOCIETY COMPETITION "ISTE TALENT ZONE - 2021-22”

ISTE Society of DRIEMS Polytechnic Organised an Annual Society competition "ISTE TALENT ZONE 2021-22" under ISTE Student Chapter in offline mode from 28th October to 03rd November 2022, where maximum numbers of society members were participated in different events like Technical Debate, technical Poster presentation, Technical quiz, Display of Technical information & Model or Project competition to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit. In this annual event more than 100 student members participated throughout five days competition.

There are five jury teams also made for judging winners for respective competitions.

After the end of competition, a prize distribution ceremony held at 12th Nov-2022 in Jayashree Auditorium on occasion of Orientation day. Er. Swarupa Arya, Asst. Prof announced the name of the winners with the august presence of esteemed Chief Guest (Sj. Ramasish Hajra), Honourable Chairman DRIEMS Group (Dr. Pramod ch. Rath), Esteemed Director Adminstration (Sj. Balaram Kar), Director Polytechnic (Prof. P. R. Mohanty), Principal (Prof. Tapaswini Sahoo), Society Coordinator, all Hods, Society members & all students. The chief guest & other Dignitaries of the ceremony distributed prizes to the winners.
