INCUBATION CENTRE

The Incubation Centre of DRIEMS POLYTECHNIC called as ‘DP RISE’ is one of a kind centre in the state of ODISHA that promotes Innovation, Entrepreneurships and Start-ups related activities. The centre, located at Room No. 205, First Floor, DRIEMS Polytechnic extension block in the DRIEMS building, is committed to promote innovations, entrepreneurships and start-ups related activities primarily focussing on the broad objective of employment generation and creating job givers. It provides bright and young innovative mind with working space where they can nurture their start-up ideas and build desired prototypes. Incubation centre of DP-RISE is well equipped with various machines and supported by various labs and workshop of the Institute. DP RISE helps in connecting itsincubates to suitable mentors, other prestigious incubators and helps them to develop from ideation stage to the level of prototype of the idea.

OBJECTIVES:

• To create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship among the students and local community
• To promote new technology/ knowledge/ innovation-based startups.
• To promote design thinking process among the incubates and provide the platform for speedy commercialisation of technology
• To enhance the domain knowledge / skills to develop the innovative products / services
• To build a vibrant startup ecosystem, by establishing a network between academia, financial institutions, industries, and other institutes.
