Prof.(Dr.) Tapaswini Sahu is currently working as Principal at DRIEMS Polytechnic as well as Professor in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department, She has completed her B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, BPUT, Rourkela, in 2004, M. Tech. in Communication Engineering, under S’O’A University (ITER), Bhubaneswar, in 2009, and Ph. D. at Biju Patnaik University of Technology, BPUT, Rourkela in the year 2024. She has also completed her B.Sc. (Hons. Physics) from IGNOU, New Delhi, and P.D.C.A. from S.C.T.E. & V.T., Odisha, 1997. Dr. sahu is dedicated to nurturing innovation, academic excellence, and industry collaboration. With Ph.D. in Communication Engineering and extensive experience in higher education leadership, she has been instrumental in shaping the future of technical education. She has successfully guided 05 M.E. students and many more Diploma/ B.tech. students for their project work. She has 15 numbers of publications in International / National journals / conferences. She has delivered lectures, keynote speeches in many national and international conferences. Dr. Sahu has been awarded many awards from the various reputed organisation and fellowship from professional body during her career. Prior to her tenure as Principal, he served as Head of Department (HoD) and Assistant Professor at DRIEMS Polytechnic, where she played a key role in curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and student success initiatives. Her leadership has driven institutional growth, accreditation achievements, and enhanced institutional growth. Dr. Sahu continues to inspire students and faculties like, encouraging a culture of Excellence, Research,Technological improvement and expanding outreach programs to ensure students from rural backgrounds receive quality education and opportunities.
