Some of the most precious time of a student’s life is spent within the institute’s campus. Hence, we have left no stone unturned in making it the best experience stored in their memories. There are also well-maintained playgrounds for outdoor games to keep the students physically fit and to refresh their minds. It’s like a whole world inside a campus! The latest addition is the enchanting swimming pool, a gymnasium and indoor sports complex that add to the abiding attraction of DRIEMS.
To keep the students updated on technology, two advanced internet centers have been set up. It has LAN network with over forty terminals in each. Additionally, there are some stand-alone terminals too. It’s the hub of computer activity for the enthusiastic students, apart from the curriculum, they explore the world of computer high way.
The college has 24 hours leased line 10mbps internet connectivity of BSNL. All the technical departments are networked with LAN/WAN connecting all the labs, staff rooms and the library. The Network Operations Centre is equipped with five IBM servers and one HCL Net Manager. Ample computing facilities are provided linking each student with a PC. There are more than 500 computers with latest configuration in all the labs
There is a separate hostel for girls, situated within the campus and the boys’ hostel located inside the campus. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, self contained and duly maintained. It also has the unique telecom facility for incoming calls only. There are however, a set of rules and regulations that have to be strictly adhered to. All provisions are made to ensure students enjoy their stay here.
The hostels have self-contained two / three seater rooms which are spacious, airy and provide for a great view. They come with the basic amenities like bed, table, chair and electrical fittings with 24-hour water supply also. Recreation hall with facilities for indoor games like chess and carom encourages students to make good use of their leisure time. Several newspapers as well as magazines are subscribed and TV is also provided to get them relaxed during leisure and also to get themselves updated. The Computer Centre and Library are kept open for residents of the hostel.
DRIEMS has its own fleet of 46 buses which caters to the transport needs of students, staff and visiting guests and provides links from campus to Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Kuakhia, Chandikhole, Choudwar, Salipur & etc.
The Institute has a well maintained canteen which is the refreshment center for the students. The canteen caters to all aspects of food i.e., Chinese, Western and Indian foods. Moreover, canteen is the best meeting place for the entire mass for a hangout. The expansion of the canteen has been undertaken recently to improve the amenities for the students and staff
The Institute provides adequate number of classrooms which are well-equipped with modern design standards and latest teaching methodology with the help of LCD, OHP and audio-visual equipment are also available to impart the best theoretical practices.
The Institute has a big Conference Hall which accommodates meetings & seminars. Apart from this the hall is also used for group discussion and Socio Cultural functions.
In these days of fierce competition, professionals need to be good at a variety of skills like public speaking, presentation, argument and debate, etc. They should be able to explore other dimensions of human life like music & drama, dance and other cultural activities. To fulfill these requirements DRIEMS has a 500 seated air-conditioned auditorium. It hosts various conferences , seminars and workshops. DRIEMS houses a large open-air-theatre. This open-air-theatre caters to different needs of students. The open stage can be used for heart-thumping disco beats or to enjoy the quietest nuances of Indian classical music. The stage can be configured to full-fledged lighting system with dozen of spob, floods, scanners and dimmers.t’s the right place for students to enjoy themselves by doing various things they are interested in, which also provides a means to enhance their overall personality.
DRIEMS has seminar hall with adequate capacity to accommodate more than 100 students. These are equipped with the latest facilities to make each seminar a great success. Spacious seminar halls provide for the right ambience for big gatherings and also for interactions with the guest lecturers and also used for conferences and workshops.
Very often, experts from different fields are invited to address the students and share their valuable experiences with them.
The importance of bank in day-to-day life cannot be underestimated. With a well-furnished bank counter of the Andhra Bank within the campus, students and staffs can stay relaxed about all their money transactions.
DRIEMS is the hub of communication system. The Post-Office is functioning in the campus which is helpful to the students & staff for sending and receiving mail. All other postal facilities are also available in this Post-Office.
